What you'll need

A photo of the room you want to renovate (a phone shot is fine)

Step 1 — Open the demo

Visit tailoredquote.co.uk/10/index12.html on any device. The page loads quickly and works on phones, tablets and desktops.

Step 2 — Choose 'Visual mockup'

The hero shows two demo options. Tap the left card labelled Visual mockup — this is the AI room render flow. (The right card runs a text-only quote demo if you don't have a photo.)

Step 3 — Upload a photo of your room

Drag a photo into the upload area or tap the upload button to pick from your phone gallery. Photos are resized in your browser before upload, so even multi-megabyte iPhone shots are fine.

Tip: Use a wide phone shot in landscape mode. The AI works best when it can see the whole room — show the floor, two walls, and the ceiling line if possible. Bathrooms shot from the doorway, kitchens shot from the sink looking out, and living rooms shot from a corner all produce strong results.

Step 4 — Describe what you want done

Type a short brief. You don't need to write paragraphs — a single sentence describing the look and key features is plenty. The AI will use it for both the render and the scope of works.

Examples that work well:

Modern grey gloss kitchen with island, white quartz worktops, and pendant lights over the island.
Walk-in shower with large-format porcelain tiles, brushed brass fittings, and a wall-hung vanity.
Open-plan living and dining area with engineered oak flooring, a navy feature wall, and built-in shelving.

Tip: Mention materials (porcelain, oak, quartz), colours (warm grey, navy, sage green) and one or two standout features (island, walk-in shower, statement light). The AI fills in the rest based on what's already in your photo.

Step 5 — Enter your email

We send your result to your email so you can come back to it later. The email also contains the PDF link if you want to share or print the result.

One demo per email address — if you want a second result, use a different email or sign up for a free TailoredQuote trial which gives you unlimited renders.

Step 6 — Wait ~30 seconds

An animated loading screen runs while the AI renders your room. The orb turns gold as it works through reading your brief, drafting the scope, pricing the line items and building the PDF.

Step 7 — View your result

The success screen shows a "View your result online" button. Tapping it opens the preview page in a new tab with your before/after, the costed scope of works and the download link.

The preview page contains:

The original photo (top) and the AI-rendered transformation (bottom)
A scope of works with 5–7 priced line items
The total cost, with each line item's percentage of total
A "Download PDF" link
A signup CTA if you want to try the full product

Step 8 — Request up to 3 amendments

If the result isn't quite right, tap "Request an amendment" and type a tweak. The AI re-runs with your update and produces a new render. You can do this 3 times per demo session.

Good amendment examples:

Change the worktops to white marble.
Make the cabinets dark navy instead of grey.
Add a kitchen island with seating for 4.
Use a herringbone tile pattern on the floor.

Tip: Each amendment uses your original photo plus the cumulative brief — not the previous render. This keeps the result sharp through multiple iterations rather than degrading. Build up your changes incrementally.

Tips for great results

Photo selection

Wide landscape phone shot in daylight
Show the room from a corner if possible (more context for the AI)
Avoid extreme close-ups — the AI needs to see proportions and walls
Empty rooms render more dramatically; cluttered rooms still work but the result will look "edited"

Brief wording

Lead with the overall style ("modern", "warm and traditional", "industrial")
Specify materials and colours explicitly
Mention one or two key features (island, statement wall, fireplace)
Don't worry about full sentences — comma-separated phrases work fine

Pricing context

The scope of works is generated from your brief, not your photo
Prices are guide ranges based on UK averages — your real prices will depend on your supplier costs and labour rates
The AI always includes a supply line for major fixtures (kitchen units, bathroom suites, flooring)
