Is the ZIP encrypted?

No — it's plain ZIP. Once on your device, store securely if it contains customer PII.

Can I import into another tool?

Technically yes (it's structured JSON). No quoting tool currently has a TailoredQuote import format yet, so the export is mostly for backup and portability.

How to download your account data

One click, one ZIP file, every quote and customer you've ever created. GDPR Article 20 data portability — built into your Account page.

Step 1 — Open your Account page

Sign in. Click your avatar in the top-right of the client portal, then Account. Or visit tailoredquote.co.uk/account.html directly when signed in.

Step 2 — Scroll to 'Download your data'

The section sits below your business details and the accountant export. You'll see a description of what's included plus a green Download button.

Step 3 — Click the green Download button

Generation starts server-side. Progress bar shows percent done as we package each section (account info → quotes → customers → mockups → signed agreements → history).

Step 4 — Wait 30-60 seconds

Larger accounts (hundreds of quotes, dozens of mockups with images) take longer because the ZIP includes the full mockup PNGs and signed-agreement PDFs.

Step 5 — Save the ZIP

Your browser auto-downloads the ZIP when generation completes. Save to a secure location — the file contains customer PII (names, addresses, phone numbers, emails) and should be treated like any other backup of customer data.

14-day cooldown

Once you download, the next export is unlocked 14 days later. You'll see the countdown on the Download button. This protects against accidental repeat downloads of large datasets.
