Know which quotes are waiting, accepted or ready to follow up

Your Saved Quotes page shows a clear status on every quote you’ve sent: Awaiting Signature, Signed, Expired, or Resent. Less chasing, better follow-up, and a proper signed record when the customer says yes.

The problem: you send a quote, then you wait

You write a detailed quote, send it as a PDF by email, and then … nothing. The customer says they’ll “have a look.” Days pass. You chase by phone. They say they’re “still thinking.” Eventually you get a text saying “yeah go ahead” — which is barely evidence of anything if there’s a dispute about what was agreed.

Most tradespeople don’t have a quote approval process. They have a quote hoping process.

A status on every quote

TailoredQuote gives each quote a clear status so you always know where it stands:

No separate spreadsheet to track what’s pending. No digging through email to find who said yes. Open your Saved Quotes page and the status is right there.

The full workflow in one place

TailoredQuote connects the entire journey: create the quote, send it for signature, track the status, and download the signed PDF. No separate tools, no extra logins, no document prep.

What your customer sees

Your customer receives a clear, branded email showing the quote total and the full quote PDF attached. They tap one link, see a summary of the job and price, draw their signature with a finger, and accept. No account, no app, no login. The acceptance page is designed for busy homeowners who aren’t particularly tech-savvy — exactly your customers.

Clear records, less risk

Every acceptance creates a signed PDF containing the customer’s drawn signature, typed name, email, IP address, server-recorded timestamp, and a full audit trail of when the link was sent, opened and signed. That’s a much stronger evidence chain than a vague WhatsApp message.

All signed agreements are stored on your Signed Agreements page, downloadable any time. No digging through emails to find who approved what.

Why tradespeople prefer this to separate e-sign tools

Generic e-signature platforms like DocuSign or Adobe Sign require you to upload a PDF, drag signature fields into position, and manage another subscription. That’s fine for a law firm — it’s needless friction for a builder who just wants the customer to approve a kitchen quote.

TailoredQuote’s send-for-signature workflow is built for trade quotes. No document prep, no signature field placement, no learning curve. You tick a box, and the rest is handled automatically.

Included on every plan

Quote approval with digital signatures is included on every TailoredQuote plan — Essentials (£35/month) and Pro (£68/month). 14-day free trial on both. No card needed. Cancel any time. See plans and pricing.

Important: TailoredQuote’s e-signatures are designed for ordinary quote acceptance in UK building and trades work. They are not intended for deeds, wills, or specialist transactions requiring witnessed or notarial execution.

Frequently asked questions

Why do I need quote approval tracking?

Without it, quotes get lost in email threads, approval is a vague text message, and there’s no clear record of when the customer agreed or what they agreed to. Status tracking gives you a structured way to send, follow up, and record customer acceptance.

How is this different from DocuSign or Adobe Sign?

Generic platforms require you to upload a document, place signature fields, and manage a separate system. TailoredQuote’s approval workflow is built into your quoting tool — one click to send, automatic status badges, and signed agreements stored alongside your quotes. No per-document fees.

Can I see which quotes are awaiting approval?

Yes. Your Saved Quotes page shows real-time status badges: “Awaiting signature” (yellow), “Signed” (green), or “Expired” (grey). You can also resend the approval link with one click from the same page.

What happens when a link expires?

Approval links expire after 14 days. The badge changes to “Expired” and a “Resend Link” option appears. One click sends a fresh link and expires the old one.
