How to Manage Customers and Saved Quotes
Keep your client list organised and your quote history at your fingertips — from any device.
Last updated: April 2025
As you generate more quotes on TailoredQuote, your customer list and quote history grows into a valuable business asset. The Customers and Saved Quotes features let you organise, search, and access everything from your phone or desktop — no more digging through emails or filing cabinets.
Your Saved Quotes Portal
Every quote you save on TailoredQuote is stored in your Saved Quotes portal. To access it, click Saved Quotes in the navigation bar after signing in.
From the Saved Quotes page you can:
- View all your quotes — listed by date with customer name, reference number, and total value
- Search by customer name — type in the search box to filter instantly
- Download any quote as PDF — regenerate the branded PDF at any time, with your current letterhead
- Edit a saved quote — open it in the editor to adjust pricing, scope, or details. See our guide to editing quotes
Managing Your Customer List
Click Customers in the navigation to view and manage your customer database. Each customer record stores:
- Customer name
- Contact details (phone, email)
- Property address
- All quotes associated with that customer
When you create a new quote, you can select an existing customer from the dropdown — their details are automatically populated, saving time on repeat clients.
Adding a New Customer
You can add customers in two ways:
- During quote creation — simply type a new name in the customer field and it will be saved automatically when you generate the quote
- From the Customers page — click Add Customer to create a record with full contact details before generating any quotes
Why This Matters
A well-organised customer and quote history is more than just convenience. It lets you:
- Follow up on outstanding quotes — quickly see which quotes are pending and chase them up
- Reference previous work — when a returning client asks for more work, you can see exactly what you quoted last time
- Track your quoting volume — understand how many quotes you are sending and at what value
- Duplicate previous quotes — for similar jobs, start from a previous quote rather than writing from scratch
