How to repeat a previous quote
One click duplicates any past quote with a fresh reference and today's date. No re-typing, no re-pricing, no AI run. Perfect for boiler services, gutter cleans, and any recurring maintenance work.
Step 1 — Open Saved Quotes
From the client portal top nav, click Saved Quotes.
Step 2 — Find the quote
Type into the customer search if you have a long list, or scroll. Recurring customers tend to be near the top because the table sorts newest-first.
Step 3 — Click the kebab (⋯)
Each row has a three-dot kebab menu in the actions column. Click it to open the action menu.
Step 4 — Click Repeat
The Repeat option creates a duplicate instantly. The new quote has:
- Fresh reference in
RPT-YYYYMMDD-XXXXXformat - Today's date
- Same customer, same scope, same total as the original
- Paid status reset to unpaid (so you can mark paid when payment lands)
- Signed status reset to none (signed agreements are one-shot per quote)
Step 5 — Edit if needed, save
Most users send the repeat as-is — that's the point. If you do want to change something (e.g. inflation-adjust prices, swap a line item), click into the new quote and edit. Save when done.
Common use cases
- Annual landlord gas safety — same boiler, same flat, same price. Repeat in 30 seconds.
- Monthly garden maintenance — same scope, same total. Repeat → invoice ready.
- Quarterly office cleaning — repeat → invoice → bill.
- Re-quoting after small adjustments — repeat the old, edit the line items for new prices, send the new version.
